Tournament 15 & Wind Up Party - October 5, 2008 at Coyote Golf Club

October 5 was our last tournament for the season. We had 30 members and guests play today.

After out game of golf, we had a wind up party with steak dinner, prizes and pictures!

Tournament 14 - September 28, 2008 at Tsawwassen Golf Club

19 members and guests took part in this week's tournament held at the Tsawwassen Golf Club. Felix Banting took the Men's Division with a 1 stroke victory over runner-up Trevor Balkwill, in the Ladies Division Vickie Carracedo won in a tiebreaker over Susan Emerson.

Tournament 13 - September 21, 2008 at Delta Golf Club

This week we played at Delta Golf Club with a shotgun start. 20 members and guests took part in this week's tournament held at the Delta Golf Club. Sandy Sandoval took the Men's Division with a 5 stroke victory over runner-up Felix Banting, in the Ladies Division Norma De Chavez won by a single stroke over Sai Meagher.

Tournament 12 - August 31, 2008 at Newlands Golf Club

Another great Sunday of golf. We have 19 players turn out, including guests. Adam won some money too, but he left before picture time.

Tournament 11 - August 17, 2008 at Poppy Estates Golf Club

We had a nice day of golf at Poppy Estates, till the end that is. The last flight was called off the course at the 17th hole due to thunder and lightening. Everyone was allowed back on the course about 20 mins later.

Tournament 10 - August 3, 2008 at Guildford Golf Club

Steve Alcantara got his first win of the year in the Mens Division with Jean Deakin recording her 3rd win in the Ladies Division.

Steve also won a bunch of the prizes.

Tournament 9 - July 20, 2008 at Delta Golf Club

This tournament we had a special event, Flags. There were 5 members with their flags at the end of the round. The prize of a gift certificate at Perfect Lies was awarded by a draw from the names of those who still had their flags.

Tournament 8 - July 6, 2008 at Surrey Golf Club

Another great turnout! 22 players including guests. The day started out cloudy but by the time we started the sun was out.

Tournament 7 - June 22, 2008 at Coyote Creek

Coyote Creek Golf Club in Surrey hosted week 7 of the 2008 season. 20 members and guests participated in the event with 2 first time winners emerging in both divisions.

Tournament 6 - June 8, 2008 at Newlands Golf Club

Again this tournament, this was the first time playing Newlands for a lot of the crew but we made it, leaving behind a few balls in those darn water hazards!

Tournament 5 - June 1, 2008 at Poppy Estates

For a lot of us, this was our first trip to Poppy Estates. There was a possibility of rain in the forecast but we lucked out and it kept dry for us.

The course was challenging even for the more experienced golfers in the group. We had 30 golfers turnout for the golf tournament, including some guests.

Tournament 4 - May 18, 2008 at Guildford Golf Club

It was a nice sunny day for the tournament. A lot cooler than it had been on Friday and Saturday for the Victoria Day weekend.

We had a great turnout of 28 players including guests.

There was a threat of rain in the forecast, but it held off and was even sunny enough to get a bit of a sunburn.

Opening Day, April 6, 2008 at Delta Golf Course

We started the day bright and early at 9 a.m. with a breakfast meeting and Meet and Greet.

The weather held off for the most part, we got rained on a little bit.
